Welcome to the Center for Multicultural Affairs and Inclusive Education!

The Center for Multicultural Affairs and Inclusive Education serves to support and enrich the collegiate development and career goals of students coming from diverse cultural backgrounds.

We offer programs that celebrate the identities and diversity of our students as well as programming that fosters diversity education and cultural awareness of difference within our campus community.

The mission of the Center for Multicultural Affairs and Inclusive Education is to educate the East Stroudsburg University student population on issues of diversity, inclusion and cultural competence.

To further the University’s mission and goals, CMAIE will empower students to engage in holistic learning opportunities that will build a platform for lifelong learning in a global society.

The Center for Multicultural Affairs and Inclusive Education works daily to support the retention and graduation rates of students of color and those that come from historically marginalized communities.

As a center we work collaboratively with internal/external partners to ensure the growth, retention, and success of our students. Here are four programs that support the retention and success of CMAIE’s students.

Meet CMAIE at the Multicultural House

The Multicultural House serves as a communal space for our students the exploration and sharing of one’s own and other’s diversity. Within the center, there are:

  • Two community spaces for students to stop in to relax and build community; these spaces can also be reserved by students and student organizations
  • The administrative offices of the director and assistant director that students can visit during schedule meetings or open office hours
  • A small library of CMA Book club readings and additional literature/reading resources that can be read within the center or signed out with approval

Once residing at 432 Normal Street, the center is now located at 96 Normal Street.
