Move-In Procedures Fall 2024

The two closest exists to ESU are exits 308, and 309. From exit 308, take Prospect Street, take a right into College Circle and Normal Street and look for ESU directional residence hall signs. From exit 309, make a left at the stop light, a left onto Brown Street, and look for ESU directional residence hall signs.

  • Hawthorn Suites: – Take Exit 309
    Hawthorn Suites is located on Smith Street. Facing North, pass the building, and make a left into the parking lot. Unload your car, make a right into the parking lot adjacent to University Apartments, and exit onto Smith Street. Longer term parking can be either behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A) or the Lower parking lots behind Dansbury Commons (Lot C-23).
  • Hemlock Suites: – Take Exit 309
    Hemlock Suites is on the corner Normal and Smith Streets. Parking can be along Normal Street. If these lots are full, make a left onto Smith Street. Facing North, make a right into the large parking lot behind the Library. The first lot is for Faculty and Staff. Unload in the second lot or beyond. Exit onto Normal Street. Longer term parking can be either behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A) or the Lower parking lots behind Dansbury Commons (Lot C-23).
  • Laurel Hall: – Take Exit 308
    Laurel Hall is located at the intersection of Normal Street and Isabell Street There is available unloading there. Unload from the parking lot next to the building and exit right onto Normal, make a left onto Smith Street. Longer term parking can found behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A).
  • Lenape Hall: – Take Exit 309
    Lenape Hall is located on Smith Street just behind Hemlock Suites. The parking lot is small, so if it is full, facing North, make a right and park behind the Library. The first lot is for Faculty and Staff. Unload in the second lot or beyond. Exit onto Normal Street. Longer term parking can be either behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A) or the Lower parking lots behind Dansbury Commons (Lot C-23).
  • Minsi Hall: – Take Exit 309
    Minsi Hall is located on Center Street across from the Mattioli Recreation Center. The parking lot is medium sized, and should contain enough spaces for the 90 students set to move in. Unload in front of the building. Exit back onto Center Street, make a left at the stop sign onto Smith Street. Longer term parking can be behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A).
  • Sycamore Suites: – Take Exit 308
    Sycamore Suites is on the corner of Isabell and Normal Streets. Coming up Normal Street and facing East, make a left into Isabell Street and come in the parking lot behind the building. Unload, continue through the parking lot to the left, make a circle, and exit back onto Isabell Street. Longer term parking can be either behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A) or the Lower parking lots behind Dansbury Commons (Lot C- 23).
  • University Apartments: – Take Exit 309
    University Apartments is located on Smith Street. Facing North, go past Hawthorn Suites, and make a left. There are two parking lots. The first is on your right, and the second is adjacent to the residence hall a little further down the road. Park and unload in whichever lot is least full. Exit left onto Smith Street. Longer term parking can be either behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A) or the Lower parking lots behind Dansbury Commons (Lot C-23).
  • University Ridge: – Take Exit 309
    University Ridge is located on Brown Street past the intersection of Smith Street, at 400 E. Brown Street. Facing East, make a left onto University Ridge Drive. There are 10 buildings there. Continue past the circle, and park behind University Ridge. Unload, and exit the same way you came in. Longer term parking can be either behind the Library on Smith Street (Lot 38A) or the Lower parking lots behind Dansbury Commons (Lot C-23).

Please limit your parking time in the unloading areas to 30 minutes to allow others to unload as well. Only vehicles with luggage should be in the unloading areas. Accompanying guests with no luggage and unloaded vehicles please park in lots 38A (rear of Kemp Library) and C-23 (rear of Dansbury Commons on S. Green St.).

Faculty and Staff are encouraged to enter ESU via Analomink Street and park in the designated faculty parking areas, not in the residence hall lots.
