Refund Overview

East Stroudsburg University regularly reviews accounts and processes refunds for eligible students. You may be eligible to receive a refund if your account has been overpaid. This can occur if the amount of financial aid or other funding received exceeds your balance due. The process begins after the add/drop period and after all aid and awards have been disbursed to the student account. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of this disbursement.

Changes in your registration status may delay financial aid awarding and the refund process.

Expecting a Student Refund?

We recommend selecting Direct Deposit to receive your refund quickly and securely. Once a refund has been processed, excess funds will be sent to your Checking or Savings account on file in one business day and available in your account in five business days or less.

Please Note: If you do not use direct deposit, the refund will be processed via paper check and students have one week to pick it up in Zimbar-Liljenstein Hall in the Student Accounts Office. Students will receive an email when the check is ready for pick up. Checks not picked up will be sent to the permanent address on file. Paper checks will be received in the mail within 14 days of mailing.

All refunds for Parent Plus Loans are mailed.
